Well Wishes from 10 Year Olds
So I teach 3rd and 4th grade, and today was my last day at work before Evan’s arrival. My 4th graders made me congratulations cards full of well wishes and some of them even decided to throw in some advice. The cards had me laughing at my desk this afternoon. Here are some of the highlights.
- I hope you like him.
- I hope he turns out cute.
- You should go green once Evan comes.
- I hope you have fun, but you might not because babies cry a lot.
- I’m sure he’s going to like his new home.
- Don’t forget to be careful with him.
- You played your cards right and are getting a baby boy.
Now what am I to do with all that great advice? Of course, some of the kids wrote really sweet messages in their cards. Here are some of my favorites.
- You’re going to be a great mom.
- Evan will be a lucky boy to have you for a mom.
- I’ll miss you while you’re gone.
I have the best students!
